Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy For People Affected By Cancer

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (Ca) is a specialist mindfulness intervention that has been designed to help participants or their carers who are living with an experience of cancer. The programme will help us to develop a series of mindfulness and compassionate practices that are simple and straightforward, but offer us a radically different way of approaching our difficult emotional and physical states.

Participant’s need have no previous mindfulness or meditation practice, we just ask for a willingness to explore our experience with gentle curiosity and a little patience. Learning to be gently present with our experience may not make our difficulties go away but it can paradoxically lead us to a place of greater contentment and ease.

The course consists of 8 weekly sessions of 2.5 hours and a ‘follow up’ session one month after the end of the main programme.

A one to one telephone meeting with Ronnie before the start of the programme will help to establish whether this course is right for you at this particular time.

This course will be held at Brighton Buddhist Centre, please book your place in advance via the website link below
